This is
a
very interesting piece of history for any Sondheim collector.  This is a printer's proof for the large posters that are put up outside David Geffen/Avery Fisher Hall for New York Philharmonic concerts.
The advertisement is for the concerts of Stephen Sondheim and George Furth's COMPANY on April 7, 8 and 9, 2011.  This was shown on television on PBS Great Performances.
The incredible all-star cast, whose names and small photos all appear on the poster, included Craig Bierko, Stephen Colbert (yes, that Stephen Colbert), Jon Cryer, Katie Fineran, Neil Patrick Harris, Christina Hendricks ("Joan" on MAD MEN), Aaron Lazar, Patti LuPone, Jill Paice, Martha Plimpton, Anika Noni Rose, Jennifer Laura Thompson, Jim Walton, Chryssie Whitehead.
This
entire piece is approximately 10.5 inches by 19 inches.  There are marks showing where the poster would be cut, and if framed along those marks would be approximately 9 inches by 18 inches
.  On good quality paper.  Has never been rolled.  Will ship flat.
